Statistics suggest that in any given year, the Highlands of Scotland can expect over 250 days of rain (they don’t mention hail, sleet or snow). It’s therefore relatively rare when conditions are benign, breezes are gentle and skies more or less clear.
On such days, there’s really no better place to be. Especially at either end of daylight when shadows lengthen to cast their magical shapes over the land.
