COOLER CLIMES
In Scotland, it’s impossible to be far from the sea. That’s what influences our climate. The warm Atlantic currents dictate that our winters are relatively mild, at least in comparison with other countries along the same latitude. And where the reds, golds and russets of autumn are as reliable as they are rich, winters are fickle. We do get snow. Where it falls, how much, and how long it stays is anyone’s guess. But with even the lightest of dustings, the hills take on a whole new appearance.
